Coronavirus traffic light: Whole Austria for four weeks red

Four weeks ago, the Coronavirus Commission in the Ministry of Health saw for the first time a very high risk of infection throughout Austria and therefore set the traffic light to red for the country, all provinces and all districts.

Also yesterday afternoon the commission came to the same result despite slightly decreasing values: The risk of infection with SARS-CoV-2 is very high everywhere, so the traffic light will remain red everywhere for at least another week.

The Coronavirus Commission’s assessment was based on the risk of transmission, the traceability of transmission chains, test activity and the hospitals’ resource utilization, it was said.
