This is the lowest new infection value since October 21.
On Monday 2,263 new corona cases were reported within 24 hours. This is the lowest new infection value since October 21, i.e. for 47 days. The number of deaths (57 in 24 hours) also decreased compared to the previous day.
99 corona patients were admitted to the normal wards throughout Austria. In the intensive care units, 16 fewer Covid patients are treated.
New infections by federal state
So far there have been 305,693 positive test results in Austria. As of today (December 7, 2020, 09:30 a.m.), 3,897 people throughout Austria have died as a result of the corona virus and 256,811 have recovered. At present, 3,885 people are undergoing hospital treatment due to the corona virus and 616 of these patients are in intensive care units.
The new infections since the last notification are divided among the provinces of Austria as follows:

Upper Austria: 305
Salzburg: 148
Styria: 227
Tyrol: 263
Vorarlberg: 265
Vienna: 442
