These are the latest Corona numbers on the first day of the light lockdown.
The hard lockdown ended yesterday after six weeks. The 1,000 COVID 19 infection mark was narrowly missed today, Monday, with 1,057 new infections recorded in the past 24 hours. 20 people have died with or from the coronavirus.
So far, there have been 424,896 positive test results in Austria. As of today (February 8, 2021, 9:30 a.m.), 8,032 people across Austria have died as a result of corona virus and 403,302 have recovered. Currently, 1,571 people are undergoing hospitalization for Corona virus. Of these, 278 are being cared for in intensive care units.
