On Wednesday, the 2,000 mark was cracked for the first time in more than a month, and then on Thursday, nearly 2,400 new infections were confirmed.
And on Friday, another 2,093 were added. So the trend of the past few days, it continues. The 7-day incidence is now 148.31. As recently as February 9, this value was 104 – the lowest level since mid-October.
In addition, there were 22 new deaths in the past 24 hours. Thus, there are currently 19,088 active cases.
A total of 90,517 people died in Austria last year – 6,477 of them on or with Covid-19, meaning that one in 14 deaths in 2020 was due to the Corona pandemic.
There are currently 1,285 people in hospital care due to the Corona virus. Of these, 258 are being cared for in intensive care units.
