Within 24 hours, 1,409 new infections and 13 deaths were reported.
After rapid increases in recent days, only 1,409 new infections were reported on the day of the lockdown summit. This represents only a slight increase compared to Monday of last week (1,270).
So far, there have been 460,849 positive test results in Austria. As of today (March 01, 2021, 9:30 a.m.), 8,574 people across Austria have died as a result of Corona virus and 432,016 have recovered. Currently, 1,353 people are undergoing hospital treatment due to the Corona virus. Of these, 290 are being cared for in intensive care units.

327 new cases in Vienna
As of Monday, March 1, 2021, 92,818 positive tests have been confirmed in Vienna since the start of the pandemic. The 327 positive tests reported today include 9 subsequent reports from the past few days.
421 new infections in Lower Austria
In Lower Austria, 421 new coronavirus infections were reported on Monday. The total number of deaths in the province rose by five to 1,350, the office of Health Regional Councilor Ulrike Königsberger-Ludwig (SPÖ) announced. 13,013 contacts were in domestic quarantine. That was 52 more than on Sunday.
