Schools saw a slight decrease in the number of positive Corona self-tests compared to the previous week. Overall, of the 1.5 million tests (previous week: 1.4 million), 1,188 indicated infection (previous week: 1,247).

Among the 1.1 million students, 810 received a positive rapid test result, and among teaching and administrative staff, 378 did. Currently, 15 of the 5,800 schools are in Distance Learning due to clustered coronavirus infections, the Ministry of Education told APA.

Since the beginning of the summer semester, schools have resumed face-to-face classes. Elementary school students sit in the classroom on all five days, at the other schools there is shift operation (with two days of face-to-face and two days of distance learning, on Friday all have distance learning). Only those who take a rapid anterio-nasal antigen test (“nose-picker” test) may come to the school. Testing days are Monday and Wednesday, with additional nose-picking on Friday starting next week.
