The Vienna Regional Sanitary Directorate and the Medical Crisis Staff of the City of Vienna provide regular information on the current number of cases and other key figures on the Covid 19 virus.
As of Saturday, 105,668 positive tests have been confirmed in the federal capital since the pandemic began. 95,702 people have recovered. The number of deaths linked to the virus is 1,814, meaning the federal capital currently has 8,152 active cases.
The findings reported on Saturday include:
➤ 616 findings as of 3/19-21.
➤ 188 findings from 03/18-21
➤ 44 findings from 17.03.21
➤ 5 findings from 16.03.21
➤ 3 findings from days before.
On Friday, 40,493 corona test findings were reported in Vienna. Of these, 10,177 were PCR tests and 30,316 were rapid antigen tests. In total, that makes 4,090,443 tests in Vienna. Forty-nine percent of people who currently test positive in Vienna are asymptomatic at the time of testing. Vienna’s current detection rate is 69 percent.
Health hotline 1450 has answered 15,251 calls. Information for the population is also provided by the service number of the Agency for Health and Food Safety (AGES) at 0800 555 621.
