Vaccinations in Upper Austria are progressing and already at the end of April there is another boost from the Johnson&Johnson vaccine.
Nearly 270,000 doses of vaccine have now been administered in Upper Austria. While there are currently three vaccines available (AstraZeneca, Pfizer and Moderna), there will be four from the end of April. The vaccine from Johnson&Johnson will then be delivered.
“According to the current status, the first doses will be delivered at the end of April,” it says in this regard from the crisis staff of the country reported by daily newspaper “heute”. It is also clear that the deliveries of the other vaccines come partly very irregularly. Thus, on Monday it was still said that in calendar week 14 (April 5 to 11) no doses from AstraZeneca will be delivered to Upper Austria.
This week, 22,230 vaccine doses from Pfizer/BioNtech and 32,100 from AstraZeneca will be vaccinated. The situation with Moderna is that there are always “very low volumes and uncertain delivery dates,” according to the crisis team. Therefore, this vaccine will not be available again until next week (8,400 doses).
