In the past 24 hours, there were 2,340 new Corona infections in Austria. Compared to Wednesday of the previous week (2,523), this is a decrease of 183 new infections. This also brings the 7-day incidence down to 162.01.
With 90,333 new PCR tests within 24 hours, there is a new test record in Austria. The positive rate is 2.59 percent. From Tuesday to Wednesday, there are 2,353 new recoveries, bringing the number of active cases down slightly to 24,028.
There are also 26 new deaths related to Corona infection. This brings to 10,152 the number of people who have died from or with Corona since the pandemic began.
