In the future, the “3-G rule” – geimpft, getestet und genesen – (vaccinated, tested, recovered) will also be applied when entering Austria. For this purpose, there will be an adaptation of the entry regulation in the coming days, it was said on Monday on request in the Ministry of Health, responsible for the control is the Minister of the Interior. One wants to orient oneself at the classification of the risk areas by the European Union health agency ECDC.
Entry only with valid test or vaccination
The risk areas are colored green, orange, red and dark red on the ECDC map. In the future, there will be three categories for entry into Austria: For entry from “green” classified states there should be no requirements. If one comes from a “red” or “orange” state, one must show either a proof of vaccination, a test or a proof of a passed through infection, analogous to the 3-G rules with the green passport, which are also a prerequisite for visiting a service at the openings from May 19.
If you come from an area with the highest risk level (“dark red”), you must also bring one of the three forms of proof. In addition, however, the already known quarantine must then be taken.
