A Corona test is considered proof of epidemiological safety.
On Wednesday, restaurants, gyms, movie theaters, hotels and more are reopening under strict security.
So far, 3,018,250 people in Austria have received at least the first vaccination dose. What you need to know now:
➤ You are freshly vaccinated: test is still necessary.
➤ First vaccination was at least 22 days ago: afterwards up to three months after vaccination (Johnson&Johnson: nine months)
➤ You have already been vaccinated twice: entry up to nine months after first shot.
This applies if you have recovered
➤ Those who have recovered (previously 618,798) are exempt from testing for six months after infection.
➤ Evidence includes, for example, a certificate of segregation or a doctor’s confirmation of infection.
➤ Antibody evidence is valid for three months from the time of testing.
This applies when you are tested
36.5 million tests have been performed to date. Validity:
➤ PCR test: 72 hours from sample collection.
➤ Antigen test at test lane, pharmacy, doctor …: 48 hours.
➤ Point-of-sale test: single entry gastro, sports facility …
➤ Documented self-test : 24 hours.
This is how the documented self-test works
➤ Pick up test kit at the pharmacy
➤ Then perform the test
➤ Register or log in at coronavirus.wien.gv.at (with QR code, PIN from test street, date of birth) – this will be activated on Wednesday night
➤ One receives four-digit code
Write the code on the test kit
➤ Take a photo, upload (figure 1)
➤ Cross out result strip, take a photo, upload (Fig. 2)
➤ Confirm information
➤ Confirmation comes via PDF/SMS
Two photos of the test are required.
This is how the guests have to register now
As in the previous year, one must register in a list of names before the feast in a restaurant. This can also be done easily by cell phone with a program from the Chamber of Commerce.
➤ In Vienna, every pub is supposed to have slips of paper with QR codes on the tables.
➤ Guests scan the code with the photo app on their cell phone and are forwarded to a list of names.
➤ Enter contact data
➤ Local, table number, and time are automatically recorded.
Scan the code again before going home to check out.
