After the end of the lockdown, tourists are also slowly coming back to the city, for the time being mainly from Austria. The city also wants to make the stay of their guests palatable with free tests and, just in case, free quarantine options.
The city of Vienna still maintains accommodations for people suffering from CoVid-19, who can not be alone in quarantine: for example, on the Steinhof grounds and recently also in a hotel in the city center, the Hotel de France. These accommodations are also available for tourists if they have contracted the disease during a stay in Vienna and need to be in isolation.
The stay during the quarantine period is free of charge and is covered by the Republic. In addition, tourists in Vienna can use the entire range of tests offered by the city free of charge: from the rapid tests to the PCR gargle tests during the “Vienna Gargles” campaign. The Hotel Sacher, the Palais Hansen Kempinski and the Hotel Park Hyatt also offer in-house testing for guests.
