In addition, a frontal extension will arrive from the west, bringing heavy rain first in Vorarlberg and Northern Tyrol and from late afternoon in Salzburg and Upper Austria. In the Alps unsettled with a few rain showers, in the afternoon also thunderstorms and sun only in between. Around the Alps only isolated showers are possible and at times the sun will shine. Partly moderate wind from north to east. Highs: depending on sunshine duration 18 to 26 degrees.
The further trend
On Tuesday in Vorarlberg, Tyrol, Salzburg and Carinthia some rain showers and thunderstorms and only occasional sun. Further east mostly dry and some sunshine hours. Moderate northeast wind and highs between 19 degrees in Vorarlberg or Tyrol and 28 degrees in Burgenland and Lower Austria.
On Wednesday from Vorarlberg to Upper Austria and Upper Styria only occasional sun and widespread showers and thunderstorms. In the east and south sunny at times and at most isolated thundery showers. Moderate northwest wind and highs from west to east: 20 to 28 degrees.
