Now it’s fixed: Vienna will get an area-wide and uniform parking system for all 23 districts.
From March 1, 2022, Vienna will have a uniform parking system for the entire city. This was announced on Thursday morning by the responsible city councilor Ulrike Sima (SPÖ) at a press conference. From then on, parking stickers and short-term parking zones will apply in all 23 districts. Thus the Parkpickerl will be extended to the districts 13, 21, 22 and 23, in Simmering it will be extended to the whole district.
From this point on, the short parking hours will be valid Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. – for a maximum of two hours. The parking ticket will cost ten euros per month. The administrative fees are not yet included.
All parking permits purchased before March 2022 will continue to be valid until the regular end of the permit period. There will be special regulations for shopping streets.
