For US-Americans, Serbs and citizens of nine other countries, easier entry will be possible again starting tomorrow. This is provided for in an amendment to the entry regulation, which will be issued during the evening, as the Ministry of Health announced today. In addition to the U.S., Serbia, northern Macedonia, Albania, Hong Kong, Japan, Macau, Saudi Arabia, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam will also be added to the list of safe countries.
Free entry with 3-G proof (vaccinated, tested, recovered) is thus possible for citizens of these countries. The amendment comes into force tomorrow at 0:00. Austria is thus also putting into practice an agreement reached by EU ambassadors the previous week to lift the travel restrictions imposed on the USA and other third countries and territories because of the pandemic.
