Due to an infection increase of 800 percent, clubs and discos in the Netherlands have to close again. Catalonia and Great Britain are experiencing a similar situation.
The much more contagious delta variant is still on the advance! In the Netherlands, for example, the Corona infection figures are currently exploding, and the government reacted immediately: Discos and clubs have to close again, while restaurants are (still) allowed to stay open until midnight. The Netherlands relaxed the Corona measures only 14 days ago. But within just one week, there was an increase of 800 (!) percent in the number of infections.
Catalonia, currently the most affected region in Spain, has also had to tighten the Corona measures again. Since Saturday, all nightclubs are closed, stricter conditions apply to events.
The situation is similarly alarming in the UK and Greece, where Corona numbers are also exploding – and experts believe that Austria is just a few weeks away from a similar increase.
