From Saturday to Sunday, there were 452 new Corona infections in Austria. This brings the 7-day incidence to 36.38.
In addition, there is one new death associated with Covid-19 infection. The number of active cases thus continues to rise – to 5,383 now. Similar numbers of cases were last recorded at the end of May.
In the past 24 hours, 57,370 new PCR tests were performed, keeping the positive rate steady at about 0.83 percent.
Currently, 121 patients are undergoing inpatient treatment for covid disease. That’s two more than Saturday, and 29 are in an intensive care unit, three fewer than Saturday.
As of Saturday, 5,293,702 people (67.00% of the vaccine-eligible population) have received at least one Corona vaccination, of which 4,597,210 people (58.18%) have full vaccine protection.
