Weekend forecast: Showers and thunderstorms remain on the agenda, according to the ZAMG forecast. However, the sun will make an appearance at the weekend and thus there will be summer temperatures around 30 degrees.
A good chance of stable summer weather, according to the current forecast Central Institute for Metrology and Geodynamics (ZAMG) is only on Saturday and Monday. Isolated showers and thunderstorms are to be expected on the weekend and the first half of the coming working week until Tuesday. However, there will be summer temperatures with highs around 30 degrees in each case.
Rain showers again and again on Friday
Sun and clouds will continue to alternate on Friday, especially in the northern half of the country a few rain showers will pass through. Lightning and thunder are not excluded locally. In the south, the tendency to showers will be less, sunny and dry weather will prevail.
The wind will be moderate, especially near showers also brisk from westerly directions. In the south, it will remain largely light windy. Early temperatures ten to 16 degrees, daily highs 21 to 27 degrees from northwest to southeast.
Saturday will be friendly and warm
On Saturday, a weak intermediate high pressure will ensure sunny, mostly dry and very warm weather. Only in the southwest a few rain showers are possible. Otherwise, however, it will remain largely free of precipitation, even over the mountains and in the south, despite increased formation of spring clouds. In some areas it will be foehny.
The wind will come from the southeast to southwest and blow moderately to briskly, in the mountains sometimes more strongly. Early temperatures of ten to 17 degrees will be followed by daily highs of 24 to 31 degrees.
Sunday falls in the afternoon in many places
In the west and northwest there will be only brief clearings on Sunday, soon the sky will be covered with compact clouds and at the latest around noon it will start to rain again. Especially in East Tyrol, flare-ups of thunderstorm activity must be expected. Towards the east and southeast, the sun will shine longer, before dark clouds will move in from the later afternoon, bringing partly thundery rain showers. However, it is not expected to be wet everywhere. In the Danube region, Sunday will start very windy, in places even stormy with wind direction from the west. During the day, however, the wind field near the ground will be mostly light, apart from thunderstorms.
In the morning, twelve to 20 is expected, then the thermometer will still rise to 18 to around 30 degrees. It will remain coolest in the rain zones in the west, and warmest in the extreme southeast.
New week starts rainy, then a mix of sun and clouds
On Monday, the sun will shine at least temporarily in all parts of the country, most sunshine is expected from Lower Carinthia over southern Styria to Burgenland. However, in the course of the day, in the wake of a weak disturbance foothill clouds will form more frequently and from noon onwards, the tendency for showers will increase significantly, especially in the western mountainous regions. A few isolated thunderstorms are also expected. Away from them, the wind often blows only weakly from different directions. After nine to 17 degrees in the morning, there will be daytime highs of 23 to 29 degrees.
Fairly sunny and partly cloudy phases will alternate on Tuesday. Clouds can grow up quickly, especially in the mountains, but in the course of the day again some, but mostly only narrowly limited, shower and thunderstorm cells must be expected. Winds will often be light to moderate, most likely from westerly directions. With early temperatures between eleven and 19 degrees, highs of 22 and 28 degrees are possible and it will be regionally humid.
