In Austria, 1,543 new infections with coronavirus were registered within 24 hours from Sunday to Monday. This means that the 7-day incidence is currently 157.99. In addition, another death related to Covid has been reported.
By far the most cases are currently registered in Vienna. Here, the 7-day incidence is already 216, well above the Austrian average. The fewest cases are officially in Carinthia (7-day incidence is 75.18).
Currently, 753 people are in hospital treatment due to the Corona virus – this is an increase of 53 patients compared to Sunday morning. Of these, 191 are being cared for in intensive care units, an increase of ten from the previous day.
To date, there have been 711,573 positive test results in Austria. As of today (September 13, 2021, 9:30 a.m.), 10,840 people across Austria have died as a result of the Corona virus and 679,480 have recovered.
Almost 60 percent fully immunized
As of Sunday, only 2,936 total vaccine doses had been administered, 1,116 of which were first-time shots. Thus, a total of 5,605,071 people (62.75% of the total population) have received at least one Corona vaccination, of which 5,299,735 people (59.33%) have full immunization protection.
