The program for the Donauinselfest 2021 guarantees excellent atmosphere again this year and numerous bands will entertain visitors on the Danube Island in Vienna. Due to the corona pandemic, this year’s event will focus primarily on local acts, fewer stages and fewer visitors.
At this year’s Donauinselfest, a maximum of 42,000 visitors are permitted for the entire concert weekend from September 17 to 19. That’s how many tickets were raffled off for the three days of the festival. Those who were able to get hold of a ticket and would like to enjoy the 2021 Donauinselfest program will also need a negative PCR coronary test that is no older than 48 hours. For children between the ages of six and 12, a maximum of 72 hours applies.
This year, the island festival offers exclusively Austrian acts on the three stage days. The spectrum of the Donauinselfest program ranges from Seiler & Speer and Reinhold Bilgeri to Hearts Hearts and Mira Lu Kovacs to Stefanie Sargnagel and an “Austropop firework” with Marianne Mendt, Ina Regen and former STS thirds Gert Steinbäcker and Schiffkowitz.
