Vienna weather in detail
This is how the Central Institute for Meteorology and Geodynamics (ZAMG) summarizes its current forecast. At the beginning of the week, one must plan for the possibility of still rain showers in some parts of the country. The details:

Monday starts with rain
Monday morning will start around the main ridge of the Alps with rain. The snow line is around 2,000 meters above sea level. Already in the morning, however, the precipitation subsides and until evening only short rain showers are expected in the south and west with a mix of dense clouds and some sunshine. Further north and east, on the other hand, it will be mostly dry and partly cloudy throughout the day. The wind will blow weakly, in the eastern lowlands and at the eastern edge of the Alps moderately from northwest to northeast. Early temperatures of six to 13 degrees will be followed by daily maxima of twelve to 19 degrees, with the warmest temperatures in the south.

Under the influence of a persistent northwesterly current, there will also be an interplay of clouds and sunshine in most parts of the country on Tuesday. Especially above the peaks of the Alps, one or the other rain shower must be expected. In basins and valleys south of the main Alpine ridge, some tenacious fog or high fog may also persist. The wind blows mostly only weakly from west to north. Temperatures will again range from six to 13 degrees in the morning. With eleven to 19 degrees, the daily highs will be reached.

Calm autumn weather on Wednesday

Mostly calm autumn weather is expected for the middle of the week. After morning fogs have dissipated, the sun will shine mostly during the day on Wednesday. Afternoon spring clouds will remain harmless even over the mountains. In the east and northeast, however, more compact clouds will gradually arrive due to the proximity of a low pressure system, and the sun will only make an intermittent appearance here. There will be a weak to moderate northwesterly wind with early temperatures of five to ten degrees and daytime highs of 14 to 21 degrees.

Also on Thursday, calm high-pressure weather is on the agenda. Fog patches will mostly dissipate in the morning and then the sun will shine throughout the country until the evening. The wind will be light, in the east moderate to brisk from southwest to southeast. In the morning it will be partly quite fresh with three to ten degrees, during the day temperatures will climb to 18 to 22 degrees.

Friday brings clouds
Embedded in a tight westerly/northwesterly flow, a weak disturbance zone in the north of Austria is expected to bring extensive clouds from early morning on Friday. Occasionally, it will also rain a little. In the southern half of the country, on the other hand, the sun will still shine for the most part, with a few clouds making it into these regions as the day progresses. The wind will freshen moderately to briskly, especially at the eastern edge of the Alps. The thermometer shows six to 14 degrees in the morning, during the day from north to south 14 to 23 degrees.
