Pfizer pushes ahead with development of Corona pill

U.S. pharmaceutical company Pfizer has begun a large clinical trial of a drug to prevent covid-19.

In it, the drug will be tested on up to 2,660 healthy adults living in the same household as a person infected with Corona.

BioNTech and Pfizer plan to file for approval quickly
BioNTech/Pfizer vaccine is safe and effective in children-
The drug is being taken orally along with a low dose of Pfizer’s HIV drug in the phase 2/3 trial. In the U.S., Gilead’s Remdesivir, which is administered intravenously, is the only antiviral drug approved to date for the treatment of covid-19.
