The corona trend in Austria is currently pointing in the right direction – at least that is the current assessment of the Corona Traffic Light Commission for the whole of Austria. The experts are only concerned about Upper Austria, where the six most affected districts are currently located.
From Wednesday to Thursday, 2,049 new cases were registered throughout Austria.
This is significantly fewer new infections than the day before, but due to the slightly rising numbers of the past seven days, the 7-day incidence overall is also rising slightly again – to 142.59 . In addition, 11 new Covid-related deaths have been reported in the past 24 hours.
Currently, there are 20,242 active cases.
There were also 157,611 new PCR tests performed in the past 24 hours, with a positive rate of 1.3 percent.
Currently, there are 220 intensive care patients, which is six fewer than on Wednesday. Normal wards are currently treating 851 patients.
Over 60 percent vaccinated
5,720,841 people (64.04% of the total population) have received at least one Corona vaccination, of which 5,403,419 people (60.49%) have full vaccination protection. A total of 13,458 vaccine doses were administered on Tuesday.
