218 intensive care patients currently. Five new deaths linked to Covid 19 infection.
2,445 new Corona cases have been officially registered in the past 24 hours.
This brings the 7-day incidence to 145.32 infections per 100,000 population. There are a total of 20,708 active cases. In addition, five new Covid-related deaths have been reported in the past 24 hours.
Follow-up reporting in Vienna
In Vienna, 1,062 cases have now been registered following a data glitch on Saturday, which meant that no new cases could be reported at all. Vienna is thus in line with the trend of the last few days, when around 450 to 600 new infections were reported daily.
For Austria as a whole, a slight upward trend can be observed after the new reports. A week ago, the 7-day incidence was around 133.
Currently there are 218 intensive care patients, which is one patient less than the day before. In normal wards, 820 patients are currently being treated, here there is a minus of 20 patients.
The utilization of intensive care beds in Austria is thus around 11 percent.
On Saturday, 8,560 vaccination doses were also administered. Thus, a total of 5,750,656 people (64.38% of the total population) have received at least one Corona vaccination, 5,432,691 people (60.82%) of whom have full vaccination protection.
