From Thursday to Friday, 1,878 new Corona infections were registered in Austria.
In addition, there are twelve new deaths related to Covid-19 infection to report, so the pandemic has claimed 11,084 lives in Austria so far. The number of active cases is up 79 to 20,649, with a seven-day incidence of 142.80.
There are currently 846 people in Austria’s hospitals related to covid disease, down five from the previous day. 221 patients are in intensive care – four fewer than the day before.
In the past 24 hours, 137,390 PCR tests have been performed, with a positive rate of 1.37 percent.
