Apple is unable to produce millions of smartphones due to global supply shortages, according to a report. It is likely that the Californian group will have to revise its production target for the new iPhone 13 downwards by ten million, the news agency Bloomberg reported on Tuesday, citing insiders. Apple had informed its manufacturers that supplier companies such as Broadcom and Texas Instruments were having problems delivering chips.
Apple shares fell about one percent in after-hours trading. Apple, Broadcom and Texas Instruments could not initially be reached for comment.
