In order to further increase the Corona vaccination rate, the Austrian Integration Fund (ÖIF) offers a mobile vaccination station at its premises in Vienna. The campaign, organized jointly with the City of Vienna (Mobile Vaccination Vienna), the Health Service of the City of Vienna (MA 5) and with the support of the Samariterbund, is primarily aimed at people granted asylum and subsidiary protection, as well as migrants, said a statement from the Ministry of Integration on Thursday.

The vaccinations are administered free of charge and without pre-registration. To make access to the vaccination as low-threshold as possible and to eliminate questions and concerns, ÖIF interpreters are also available. So far there have been four vaccination appointments, and the next appointment will take place on October 20.
Vaccination campaign wants to reach people with a migration background
At the four appointments so far, just under 230 people would have picked up a stitch. Integration Minister Susanne Raab (ÖVP) is pleased that the offer can make a further contribution to the fight against the Corona pandemic. “It is important that people with a migration background can also get vaccinated in an uncomplicated way – the offers are sufficiently available, now they must also be taken up,” said Raab.
