In the past 24 hours (as of 9:30 a.m. Wednesday), 4261 new Corona infections have been recorded in Austria. A week ago, there were 3727. Ten Corona infected people died. There was a huge increase again in the number of hospitalizations.
89 patients had to be newly admitted to hospitals in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of people needing hospital treatment for coronavirus infection to 1257. 250 patients now require intensive care – up by six from the previous day.
Ten more people infected with the coronavirus died. So far, there have been 11,289 corona deaths across Austria.
