According to the working document of the responsible commission – published by APA – only Burgenland and Vienna make it into the orange sector of the CoV traffic light, which indicates high risk. In the remaining provinces as well as in the entire state, the traffic light is red. This means that there is a very high risk of infection.

The decisive factor for the coloration is the so-called risk number. Very high risk applies from the 100 mark. Only Vienna (81.5) and Burgenland (78.5) remain below this level, and the risk in these two provinces has also worsened.

In Styria, Tyrol, Carinthia and Vorarlberg, the values went up so sharply that they slipped from high risk to the worst, i.e. red zone, which is already familiar territory for Salzburg, Lower Austria and Upper Austria.

Admittedly, the negative trend applies to all federal states. Vorarlberg had the most unfavorable development during the past 14 days with a plus of 108 percent. The highest risk number with considerable 326,9 shows Salzburg. For comparison: in the previous week it was 150.7. The province also has the highest raw seven-day incidence (433.4) and also by far the worst risk-adjusted incidence with 612.
