According to Health Minister Wolfgang Mückstein (Greens), the measures were passed almost unanimously. Burgenland had already made it clear in advance that it rejected tightening measures in view of the high vaccination rate in the state. It was not officially confirmed that Governor Hans Peter Doskozil (SPÖ) was the one who did not support the decision.

His Carinthian counterpart Peter Kaiser (SPÖ) pointed out that Burgenland had also pushed for a withdrawal of measures in case of corresponding successes. In this regard, Chancellor Alexander Schallenberg (ÖVP) assured that the phased plan was not a one-way street. If a measure is no longer needed, it will be withdrawn immediately.

2G rule comes throughout Austria with a transition period
For 2G is recognized in a transition period of four weeks even the first vaccination in conjunction with a PCR test. After that, one must be vaccinated twice or have recovered in the past six months. For children under 12 years of age, the Ninja Passport should continue to apply, explains Health Minister Wolfgang Mückstein (Greens).

The “Green Passport” should only be valid until new months after the second sting.
According to the proposal, the “Green Passport” should only be valid for nine months after the second vaccination, which should increase the motivation for the third sting. The vaccination by Johnson&Johnson, which was originally designed as a one-time immunization, will only be valid for the “Green Passport” until January 3, provided that no subsequent vaccination has taken place.
