The Ministries of Health and Interior have reported 11,552 newly registered CoV cases within the last 24 hours (as of 9:30 a.m. today). The states reported these numbers to the national crisis team.
11,706 people have died as a result of coronavirus so far. Currently, 2,327 people are undergoing hospital treatment due to the coronavirus, 433 of them in intensive care units.
7-day incidence at 815.0
According to the Agency for Health and Food Safety (AGES), the 7-day incidence, i.e. the number of new infections with the coronavirus in the past seven days per 100,000 inhabitants, is 815.0 (as of yesterday, 2 p.m.).
Salzburg leads the way with an incidence of 1,345.4, followed by Upper Austria with 1,263.8. 7-day incidence is lowest in Vienna (460.9) and Styria (607.7).
The AGES reporting scheme shows the previous day’s figures – like the ministries’ reporting. Major difference from the ministry reports: Laboratory-confirmed cases, deaths, etc. are not shown at the time of reporting, but at the date of diagnosis or death. In the presentation in ORF.at, the days to which the newly reported cases are assigned are also made transparent on a daily basis.
