In St. Stephen’s Cathedral will be vaccinated daily from December 6.
St. Stephen’s Cathedral in Vienna is currently experiencing brisk attendance despite the lockdown: demand for the Covid-19 vaccinations administered here is higher than ever.
This was reported by the Malteser Hospitaldienst, which coordinates the campaign with the Johanniter on behalf of the cathedral parish. Exactly 17,817 stings with the vaccine from BioNTech/Pfizer have been administered at St. Barbara’s Chapel since August, including 10,123 since the beginning of November and 2,872 last weekend alone. Because of the enormous demand, the campaign, which has so far been offered from Thursday to Sunday (from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.), will be extended to all weekdays starting December 6, Malteser Outreach Manager Gabrielle Scarimbolo announced.
