More vaccinations have been administered in Austria on Saturday

79,559 vaccinations were performed on Saturday – of which 10,399 were first-time vaccinations (13.07 percent). This is below the seven-day average of 10,660 first-time vaccinations. 16,263 vaccinations were second-time stings (seven-day average: 16,256). 52,897 third-time vaccinations on Saturday represent 66.49 percent of all vaccinations conducted. This was lower than the seven-day average of 74,000 third vaccinations.

For children eleven and under, who are currently vaccinated only “off label,” 0.7 percent is reported.

The protection rate (valid vaccination certificate) is highest in Burgenland, at 73.6 percent. In Lower Austria, 69.8 percent of the population has valid vaccination protection, and in Styria 67.7 percent. After Vienna (66.7), Tyrol (66.5), Vorarlberg (64.8), Carinthia (64.5) and Salzburg (64.1), Upper Austria brings up the rear with 63.2 percent.

The province with the highest seven-day incidence is currently Vorarlberg with 1,020.9, followed by Carinthia, Tyrol and Salzburg (1,010.3, 752.1 and 707.3, respectively). Further, Upper Austria (701.4), Styria (653.4), Lower Austria (543.5), Burgenland (428.4) and Vienna (346.8) follow. The number of new infections registered since yesterday per province was: Burgenland 101, Salzburg 347, Vorarlberg 375, Carinthia 467, Tyrol 557, Vienna 776, Styria 834, Upper Austria 850, Lower Austria 885.
