More than four million booster vaccinations in Austria

In Austria, 4,006,363 booster vaccinations have now been administered as part of the vaccination campaign. This means that currently about 45 percent of the total population has received a booster vaccination. As of Thursday, an additional 36,880 third shots had been administered, according to data from the Department of Health.

Growth in first- and second-time vaccinations has been sluggish: 5,931 first-time stings were added Thursday, along with 11,713 second-time stings. Overall, that means about 75 percent of the total population has received at least one vaccination, or 6,677,304 people. An active vaccination certificate is held by 71.4 percent of the total population, or 6,377,489 people.
