Why Novavax is not a dead vaccine
According to the U.S. pharmaceutical company Novavax, the new vaccine protects well against the coronavirus. The data are based on studies involving about 30,000 people. According to the results, efficacy is about 90 percent.
The extent to which Novavax is effective against the Omicron variant is still questionable at present. However, the vaccine is likely to have a similar potential to the mRNA vaccines.
It is still unclear whether booster vaccinations will also be given with Novavax. In any case, immunologists consider the new vaccine to be suitable for this purpose.
