Forty-three further deaths were linked to covid infection.
From Tuesday to Wednesday, 53,071 new infections were registered in Austria. This is significantly higher than the average of 43,090 over the past seven days. Currently, 440,952 people in Austria are actively infected with the coronavirus.
The seven-day incidence is 3,388.71. Four hundred and twenty-three new PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours. This results in a positive rate of 13.23 percent.
There are also 43 new deaths associated with Covid 19 infection to report. To date, the Coronavirus has claimed 15,530 lives in Austria.
Currently, 3,266 patients are being treated in the hospital. This is a decrease of 13 people compared to Tuesday. In the intensive care unit, however, two patients have been added. Here are currently 227 people treated.
