In the past 24 hours (as of 9.30 a.m. Thursday), 25,893 new infections with the coronavirus have been recorded in Austria. A week ago, there were 41,607 new cases. The number of infections is thus continuing to fall. On the other hand, corona fatalities remain high – 53 more people infected with the virus have died since yesterday.
There was a decrease in the number of Corona patients in hospitals. In the past 24 hours, the occupancy rate dropped by 94 in normal wards and 21 in intensive care units.
However, the number of daily Corona deaths remains very high: 53 more died. This brings the number of corona deaths in Austria to 15,865.
