In Europe, the number of Corona deaths has surpassed the two million threshold since the pandemic.
The World Health Organization (WHO) said Thursday in Copenhagen that the 53 countries and territories for which the WHO Regional Office for Europe is responsible reported 2,002,058 deaths to the World Health Organization.

According to WHO, the Europe region has also recorded more than 218 million cases of the infection since the pandemic began more than two years ago. The WHO Europe region also includes heavily affected countries such as Russia and some Central Asian countries.
After increasing the number of infections until mid-March, falling numbers are now being reported throughout Europe. New illnesses and deaths have fallen by around a quarter in the past seven days.
