From Thursday to Friday, 8,933 new infections were registered in Austria. This is significantly above the 7-day average of 7,627 infections. The 7-day incidence rises to 599.77.
In the past 24 hours, 83,376 new PCR tests were made. This results in a positive rate of 10.71 percent.
This brings the number of active Corona cases to 80,818. For the first time since late April, more than 80,000 people have been infected simultaneously. In addition, there are eight new deaths. Thus, 18,757 persons with SARS-CoV-2 infection have died so far throughout Austria.
Currently, 662 people are being treated in the hospital. In intensive care units, it is one person less and thus still 42 patients.
