Again, more than 12,000 new infections in Austria on Thursday

There are eight new deaths related to Covid 19 infection.

From Wednesday to Thursday, 12,506 new infections were registered in Austria. This is well above the 7-day average of 9,506 infections. The 7-day incidence is 747.55, with the number of active Corona cases rising to 101,200.

In the past 24 hours, 100,374 new PCR tests were done. This results in a positive rate of 12.46 percent.

There have also been eight new deaths related to virus infection. This means that 18,787 people across Austria have died from or with SARS-CoV-2 infection.

There are currently 854 covid patients in Austria hospitals. Forty-one critically ill patients are being cared for in intensive care units.
