From Thursday to Friday, 11,095 new infections were registered in Austria. This is above the 7-day average of 10,265 infections. The 7-day incidence is 807.30.As of Thursday, 118,586 laboratory-confirmed active cases were known in Austria. Since the start of the pandemic, 4,510,741 cases have been registered in Austria. Four million three hundred seventy-three thousand three hundred twenty infected persons have since recovered.
In the past 24 hours, 91,863 new PCR tests have been made. This results in a positive rate of 12.08 percent.
There have also been ten new deaths related to covid infection. Thus, across Austria, 18,835 people have died of or with SARS-CoV-2 infection.
There are currently 987 Covid patients in Austria hospitals. Fifty-seven critically ill patients are being cared for in intensive care units.
