Monday morning, the Ministry of Education will announce all Corona measures that will apply in the new school year. PCR testing will not be mandatory, and the tender for the test kits has not yet been finalized. Nor will masks be mandatory, according to the variant management plan.
“That’s okay for now,” virologist Norbert Nowotny tells “daily newspaper “Heute”: “At the moment, from an epidemiological point of view, you can get by without tough measures.” There is no question, however, that the situation will come to a head again after the vacation season. “Then there will also have to be more restrictive measures in schools.” This year, however, one is better prepared,” he said.
