Corona numbers are rising, though they are doing so more slowly now than in previous weeks. An overview of the figures for the week so far: 3,119 reported infections on Monday and 5,113 new infections on Tuesday, 6,751 infections on Wednesday, 5,469 cases on Thursday and 4,918 new conditions on Friday and 4,280 on Saturday. Three thousand five hundred sixty-two new infections on Sunday rounded out the week.
And how does it look on Monday? According to a report by the Austrian newspaper “Heute,” 3,562 new infections and one death were added on Monday. As a reminder, a week ago, the value of new conditions was 5,541. In addition, 3,607 people are considered recovered compared to Sunday. According to official data, the total death toll during the pandemic is 21,318 people. In total, well over 203.9 million tests have been performed since the pandemic’s beginning.
Regular wards currently have to care for 1,187 patients who tested positive for the coronavirus – an increase of 56 patients compared to Saturday. In the intensive care unit, 64 patients were cared for in the past 24 hours. The number of intensive care patients thus decreased by a value of -4 compared to the previous day.
