After 4.5 hours of sleep, most people feel limp and tired. But there is another way to do it. A study shows you can feel top fit despite a short sleep duration.
Maybe you know how it is: Although you plan to go to bed earlier the next night, you end up in bed later than planned. The result: the next morning, you’re tired and unrested. But that could soon change.
Be fit as a fiddle after 4.5 hours of sleep – this is how you succeed!
Many studies show that you should sleep around seven hours at night to be fit for the next day. A sleep study by Akshat Rathi, a doctoral student at Oxford University, contradicts this, showing that even with 4.5 hours of sleep, you can still be fit: Even with 4.5 hours of sleep, you can feel fit the next day.
According to his findings, humans need between 3.5 and 4.5 hours of sleep to be powerful. But sleeping at night is not enough for that. Three times a day, you should introduce a 20-minute nap. This trick will make you feel fitter and more powerful. Since three times 20 minutes, the drive is one hour, sleeping only 3.5 hours at night is enough.
You should avoid this
But if you’re now thinking, “No problem – I do that every day anyway,” you might change your mind again after considering the following aspect. Coffee, whose effects are controversial, is an indispensable part of many people’s daily lives. However, leaving out the popular everyday companion to try the sleep trick would be best. The same applies to alcohol, especially in the first few weeks when you start the experiment. Once you get past the initial phase, you should be full of power after a little sleep, according to Rathi.
