Today, Easter Sunday, the cold front especially brings gloomy and unsettled weather in the eastern half of Austria sad and unsettled weather – including rain showers and partly snow. Only on Easter Monday the sun comes back intermittently.
On Easter Sunday, it will then remain cloudy and cool. In the east, the search for outdoor Easter nests could prove particularly difficult, as rain showers, some of them heavy, are expected during the day. Even isolated snowfalls cannot be ruled out. A few sunny clearings will only appear from Vorarlberg over the Tyrolean Oberland to East Tyrol, which will remain mostly dry. Temperatures will range between 6 and 13 degrees.
On Easter Monday, it will be warmer and sunnier all over Austria. Only in the Waldviertel to Styria are individual showers expected in the morning. In the remaining provinces, the day will start friendly, with lots of sunshine. During the day, the sun will prevail, especially in the east. With only light winds, temperatures will rise again and reach up to 17 degrees.
