Just in time for the Vienna Danube Island Festival on Friday, the weather is stabilizing again after the heat wave. Geosphere Austria says short rain showers are possible, but temperatures will remain pleasantly warm.

On Friday, the weather will increasingly stabilize. While thunderstorms may still occur, especially in the first half of the day, the tendency for showers will decrease to around 30 percent towards evening. From the night to Saturday, it will probably remain rainless.

Between the clouds, the sun will also appear repeatedly during the day. The temperature will drop from 29 degrees at 3 p.m. to 25 degrees at 6 p.m. At midnight it will be about 21 degrees. The wind will be partly strong from the west on Friday and during the night to Saturday, with wind peaks around 65 km/h.

On Saturday, Sun and clouds will alternate. Only isolated rain showers can develop, so the probability of precipitation during the day is around 20 percent.

The wind will remain brisk and blow with peaks around 50 km/h from the northwest. At 3 p.m., it will be around 25 degrees; at 6 p.m., it will be about 23 degrees; and by midnight, the air will cool down to about 18 degrees.

On Sunday, sunshine predominates, and it remains dry. The wind on Danube Island decreases compared to previous days and blows moderately from the northwest, with peaks around 45 km/h.
