At the beginning of the weekend, the weather in Austria continues to present itself from its friendly side. But this will end in the afternoon.

Especially in the east, it will be summery hot again on Friday, but in the run-up to a low with a core over the British Isles, the tendency for showers and thunderstorms will slowly increase again, starting in the mountains. The weekend will continue to offer summery weather, but the trend for thunderstorms will increase further. After a relatively calm start to the week, a prominent low will intervene in the weather from Tuesday.

On Friday, the sun will shine frequently; some clouds will initially hold from the Mühlviertel over the Weinviertel to northern Burgenland. In the afternoon, local rain showers and heat thunderstorms will form primarily over the mountains; towards evening, isolated thunderstorms are also expected in the southeast. The wind will blow moderately from predominantly westerly directions, and with 24 to 30 degrees, it will be summery warm again.

Saturday begins regionally with residual clouds and isolated showers on the northern side of the Alps; in the morning, the sun can often be seen, especially in the eastern half. However, From the west, the tendency for showers will quickly increase in the mountainous and hilly areas, and locally heavy thunderstorms are to be expected in the afternoon. These will then spread regionally to the lowlands but will most likely remain dry in southeastern Styria and Burgenland. From west to east, 23 to 31 degrees.

On Sunday, rain will be frequent, locally also heavy and thundery. During the day, the rain will change to showers and thunderstorms from the west, with sunny spells in between, especially in the Rhine and Inn valleys and the Danube region. In the evening, the weather generally calms down a bit. The wind will blow moderately from westerly directions, and with 20 to 27 degrees, it will cool down a bit, but the air will remain humid.

Monday will start with residual clouds, especially in the mountains and the south, but mostly dry except for isolated showers in the southeast. During the day, a mostly friendly sun-cloud mix prevails, only in the south and towards the Bohemian Forest; a few more clouds persist, and in the west, it becomes cloudy again in the evening, but the tendency to showers remains generally low. With a moderate westerly wind, highs between 20 and 27 degrees.
