At the heart of the government’s anti-pricing package is rental price coverage; in the next three years, increases will be limited to a maximum of five percent. However, Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer also announced relief for individual transportation.
Vignette and climate tickets will not be raised. The prices for the climate ticket and the highway vignettes will not be increased compared to 2023. We should be pleased about what the Chancellor accidentally mentioned, especially the pendants in Austria. Without the measure, the price would have increased from 96 euros to 110 euros next year.
Fees. Overall, the federal government does not want to raise prices. For this, the federal government will provide 150 million euros to the municipalities, compensating for the increases. Vignette and climate tickets won’t be more expensive.
