In the north and east, the day will often start sunny, especially over the peaks of the Alps, and in the south and southeast, there will initially be heavier clouds and rain showers. There will typically be sunny skies here in the afternoon as well. The wind will still blow from the northwest, especially in the east, but will become increasingly weaker during the day—the early temperatures are 8 to 16 degrees, and the daily highs are 16 to 23 degrees.

The forecast in detail
Vienna: Not much remains of the night’s disturbance remnants. Only high cloud fields adorn the sky, which is mainly sunny starting in the early morning. The wind will blow moderately to briskly from west to northwest. It is about 15 degrees in the morning, and during the day, it is about 22 degrees.

Lower Austria: Especially in the country’s southern parts, the day will start with some remaining clouds. Otherwise, the day will bring sunshine, mostly from early to late. Only high cloud fields appear in the afternoon in the sky. Morning lows will be 10 to 14 degrees, and daytime highs will be 18 to 23 degrees. The wind will be from the west to northwest and will be moderate, occasionally still brisk, but it will lessen throughout the day.

Burgenland: In the southern half of the country, the remaining clouds will persist for a few hours; there may be some rain locally. Otherwise, it is already mostly sunny. In the afternoon, sunshine will also prevail in the south. The wind will blow moderately to briskly from the northwest; only in the south will it be light—early temperatures 12 to 16 degrees, daytime highs 19 to 23 degrees.
Styria: On Wednesday, the clouds will loosen only occasionally, and there will be isolated showers in the morning, most likely in the Upper Mur Valley. It will remain dry, especially in the north of Upper Styria, and the clouds will clear quickly. In the afternoon, more sun will appear in the south. They are regionally increasing west to northwest wind. Somewhat cooler, with daily highs between 16 and 21 degrees.

Upper Austria: Wednesday will start in the mountains with some remaining clouds and local fog. Soon, however, sunshine will often prevail. The wind blows weakly to moderately from the west. Early highs: 4 to 11 degrees, highs: 15 to 20 degrees.

Salzburg: Wednesday will start in the mountains with some remaining clouds and local fog. Soon, however, sunshine will often prevail. The wind blows weakly to moderately from west to northwest. Early highs are 5 to 11 degrees, and highs are 15 to 20 degrees.

Tyrol: In the northern Alps and the eastern lowlands, compact clouds will persist for some time, but in the inner Alps, the sun will soon shine through. The afternoon will be generally friendly and mild. With a Tauern wind, it will be warm and dry in East Tyrol’s north; the sky will get cloudier as you move south. In the area of the Lienz Dolomites, showers are not entirely excluded. Lows: 8 to 11 degrees. Highs: 16 to 21 degrees.

Vorarlberg: In the morning, the sun will assert itself against fog patches and residual clouds. The afternoon will be friendly and relatively mild. A noticeable wind from west to northwest. Lows: 8 to 11 degrees. Highs: 16 to 20 degrees.
