The European Filipino Bowling Federation is staging a three-day bowling tournament in conjunction with its 6th anniversary at the Phoenix Bowling Park Hernals in Vienna’s 17th district.
The tournament is part of a continuous initiative to gather Filipino bowlers from across European member countries to showcase and share their bowling skills and talent in a series of friendly bowling matches.
Several bowlers compete in the tournament, including delegates from the European Filipino Bowlers Federation: Austria, Athens, Switzerland, Sweden, Italy, and the United Kingdom.
Philippine Bowling League in Austria President Robert Carlo Gonzales expressed his gratitude for the delegates’ presence at the event. He added that the tournament provides an excellent platform for the bowlers, as the sport is essential in promoting discipline and cohesiveness among team members and providing opportunities to explore other nations’ exquisiteness.
The tournament organisers contended that the primary purpose of the three-day sports event is to span Filipino unity in Europe and to reach out to all Filipino bowlers all over the continent and bring them together in one big tournament.
The tournament is split into several events, such as the singles event, the doubles event, the Weber-style duble fun game, the team event, and the Masters event.
The tournament is slated to be held until Sunday, December 3, 2024, with the closing ceremony at 6:00 p.m.
